Hidden problems can occur, however, it has been my experience that with a thorough inspection, one can often uncover signs and symptoms that may point in the direction of hidden problems. My extensive construction experience allows me to highlight potential issues both within the function and safety areas as well as the overall efficiency of each system.
The assessment begins outside. Starting at the top with a analysis of the roofing system and working our way to the basement. Once inside we begin in the basement and work our way to the roof following a formal process. The systems to be evaluated include the roof, exterior, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, structure, interior and the insulation. Function, safety and efficiency provide the criteria of evaluation for each system.
Generally an inspection takes between 2 and 3 hours to complete, this provides ample time for conversation. Your questions may evolve as we tour the building, this is a natural part of the process. I look forward to answering any question you may have.
Definitely, I feel it is very important for my clients to join me on the inspection tour. This is one of the best ways for clients to understand the systems of the home. It also provides a great opportunity for me to highlight areas of interest.
